Clinical Trainer

The Home for Little Wanderers seeks a Clinical Trainer for the Training Institute located in Roslindale. Under the supervision of the Director of the Center for Early Childhood the Trainer will primarily support The Home for Little Wanderers' ("The Home") clinical training needs along with developing and delivering training curriculum.
Essential Functions:
Deliver clinical and general classes on an ongoing basis to ensure and maintain staff compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide staff and program clinical training as necessary.
Ensure adherence to the clinical practice models adopted by The Home.
Conduct training in both large group and individual forums.
Provide training services both internally and externally of the Home.
Develop marketing plans and materials, logistics and preparation for training events.
Provide feedback to and evaluation of other internal trainers.
Build/maintain relationships with The Home's programs and departments.
Other duties as assigned by the Director.
Education and Experience:
Masters degree required, licensure preferred.
Experience in the child welfare setting required.
Knowledge and understanding of adult learning theories.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Desire to learn and take direction.
Computer /technical competency
Design web based trainings preferred
Comfortable working with changing work priorities.
Ability to work collaboratively with others.
Ability to analyze and understand training needs and processes.
Ability to troubleshoot both functional and technical issues in a service oriented environment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to participate in/ practice/ and instruct physical restraint techniques. Ability to conduct full day and consecutive day trainings in at least First Aid, CPR, and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention on a regular basis. Standard office setting. May spend extended periods of time on the telephone, at a computer terminal or operating other light office machines, requiring eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity. Travel to multiple sites throughout metropolitan Boston is occasionally required therefore access to a car is necessary.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
