We are seeking an Interior Designer and self-starter who can help run our interior design projects from start to completion.
Ideally, a minimum of three years experience in the interior design field and experience with full-service interior design/renovation work, a strong portfolio, and software knowledge (Autocad & Sketchup).
The ideal candidate will have the experience and ability to focus on multiple projects in various stages, communicate design ideas and direction clearly, and take initiative without needing much hand holding.
We are a team who likes to make the renovation process enjoyable and exciting for our clients, and while we take our work seriously, we also like to have fun during the process! This candidate must live in the Boston area, have their own transportation, and a valid driver's license.
This is a full-time position but if you are looking for part time, please let us know.
We will be working hybrid, both from our South End studio and from home or on site.
Responsibilities:
Develop client project design vision with JKS Founder, Jess Klein Engage with clients throughout the entire project about all design related items Create custom design boards per room per project Technical Drawings for each project Communicate any and all design details to client and team, documented through email and our software systems Source materials, finishes and furnishings for each project and present to Jess manage client expectations with regular and clear communication Assist in client presentation meetings in studio or on-site Communicate any and all design details to client & build team Assist with project installations with team Collaborate with team during Weekly Project Meetings and provide project status updates Job Types:
